Creates a new virtual drive. Substance Visual Subst will create a new virtual drive in your C: drive for you with the given name. For example, if you have chosen "c:\test\folder", Substance will create virtual drive "test" under your C: drive. If you create virtual drive with a non-empty name, it will be always removed when you close the application. To remove a virtual drive, just click "Remove" button. You can also give your virtual drive a name. Substance will pass the given name to the program. To create a virtual drive, simply choose a path and click "Add". If you prefer Substance to list your drives, instead of creating them, click "Create Directories" button. Beside creating, you can also rename, delete, or set visibility of virtual drives, etc. You can edit virtual drives with the same API used to edit regular drives. Substance will parse the given path and show all the path parts in the treeview. If your virtual drive is visible, you will be able to see it under "Open in Explorer" menu. If you need to create a virtual drive with empty name, use "Save as" option (this will create a virtual drive with name "test"). In order to use the current version, just press 'Ctrl+S' or select "Save" from File menu. Here are some use cases: I have a folder that is too long for Windows "Drive C" letter. For example: "C:\MyFolders\somedir". "somedir" is a huge folder with many sub-folders. When working with this folder I have to type "C:\MyFolders\somedir\ subfolder\subfolder" each time. I want to have this folder accessible from the path. For example, I want to type just "somedir" and press Enter to open this folder. I want my "somedir" to be shown in the explorer as regular drive "C:\MyFolders\somedir". This way I will be able to open "somedir" folder with only one "C:\MyFolders\somedir" folder and not "C:\MyFolders\somedir\ subfolder\subfolder\..." You can use it to store your personal data. You can use Substance Visual Subst to store your important files, music, photos, programs, etc. (More info) When you start Substance you will be asked if you want to delete your virtual drives. If you want to have access to your files on the virtual drive, click "Remove". Otherwise, you will not be able to access your 972550f159
